Thanks for all the kind words everyone, and thanks for the welcome to the board!
I was actually a member here before (I still have the original activation email!), but I got so tied up in the project that I didn't get out here very often, so I guess I was "deactivated" (sounds like something off Star Trek, LOL!).
Mopar Collector's Guide did a photo shoot on the car at the Nats, so you may all get to see a bunch more shots of the car if I'm lucky. My company and I are involved in the Mopar Restoration Parts Program. If you guys like the fact that the volume of parts available has expanded by about 600% since we took over the program, then that was me that did it. If, however, you don't like something about it, then it was some other guy
.
As some of you said, you can't appreciate how much work it takes to take one of these things completely apart and do a nut and bolt restoration. I thought I did until this project; now I really do. I think a good rule of thumb is to do your best job of estimating how long it's going to take and how much it's going to cost. If you then double one factor and triple the other (triple the one you have the most of, be it time or $$$!), then you'll know how long it'll REALLY take and cost
.
Anyway, thanks again everyone. I love the car, and it is fast. It's a car and is meant to be driven and is being driven !
