Wiper spline damage

Postby GRR » 28 Jun 2007 18:48

I need to repair the wipers on my '70. The spline on the pivot attaching point is rounded off on both wipers. Has anyone found replacement parts for this or a repair kit. I have seen people drill through the wiper arm and put a small bolt through it but, that looks real bad. :s006:

Hello Eddie,
I can repair the part with a replacement spline. You are speaking of the knurled cap that is on the pivot on the cowl. Correct?
If so , no problem. Wiper pivot complete rebuilds are $85 a pair. Complete linkage with pivots rebuild is $195. Just to repair the one damaged pivot is $25. All prices do not include shipping.
See attachments.
Thanks
Jules
