Postby PeO » 24 May 2007 21:59

I should like to know how many here has experience of todays Mopar parts to Challenger. Quality, fit etc. As I today working with DaimlerChrysler for Sweden and has excess to supply Mopar parts via the dealers I can arrange following parts (attached list), but I like to have some comments of the quality first.

Who is actually making them though? I doubt it is Chrysler.

The door handles have a nice finish however mine are not flush between the lift tab and the casing. Have not installed on the car yet so cannot comment on this aspect.

The 70-71 washer bottle is nice, fits well, and looks original.

Your parts list looks somewhat like the Mopar Performance Cataloge. As Dave said who makes the other parts such as the sheetmetal?

Thanks

I think most of that list (including door handles) are reproductions as the original parts are no longer available in most cases.

I believe the sheet metal is Goodmark's - it matches their inventory. They set up some kind of deal with Daimler/Chrysler to sell their parts as "MOPAR Authentic Restoration Products". The quote is from their website and it would stand to reason that D/C would sell their stuff in return.

It's interesting to know, maybe the shipping from Copenhagen is better than from the US...

So far any part I have purchased with a Chrysler pentastar and part number on it, (even from an aftermaket company) has been satisfactory. :)
