Bad news for some people. According to the "latest" rumors which some are official I'm afraid, the new 08 Dodge Challenger will only be available in the U.S. markets and the only versions are going to be the 5.7 Liter Hemi and the SRT version of 6.1 Liter Hemi. :(

Well I could have guessed that Eddie. In particular with those rear lights.

But that does not stop us importing one. We just need to fit turn signals somewhere and stop the red lights flashing.

Their bad reputation stems from the 70s where British manufacturers were struggling to make a profit just as the US companies are doing now. So corners were cut. The workers in the Midlands where a lot of the cars were made were also lazy b'stards back then.

I doubt there is much Lucas stuff still around. There are no British cars made any more. Jag and Land Rover is/was owned by Ford USA. Jap cars are made here now.

I hate to say it. The same will happen here. It's just a matter of time. The 'writing' is all over the 'walls'. When they start making Jap H.D. Trucks 3/4 and one ton, (the very last bastion of U.S. sole dominance in the automotive market ),, it's all over.

Yes it is Dave, in the lower portion of the article it states the Challenger will be available with 3 different engines. I thought it also stated only 5k will be assembled. Wouldnt they,(Dodge), just use the Hemi 6.1/5.7 and not even think about that v-6 in a limited production run? Odd I think evryone is still speculating. I'm thinking 6.1 Hemi no automatic 6 speed only. Then the following year,(If there is still a Chrysler left), they will use different engine/transmission platforms.
