Clear-cut Jack mouting diagram in 1970 Challenger trunk

Postby cv70chall » 07 Mar 2007 14:13

First, let me preface by saying "Dave, don't kill me if this is in the wrong area"..

I have repalced the trunk floor in my 1970 Challenger and have ordered the jack mouting base as well as the mount spring.

Does anyone have a clear-cut diagram of where the parts are supposed to be welded to the floor for a proper jack mount?

Thanks~

I am leaning towards interior because it is inside the car.

You want a section just for trunk questions?

54F up here today. Clear skys so down to 36F before dawn. I'm a couple of hundred miles north of your relatives and close to the North Sea which is not known as warm water even in the summer. So we are usually a couple of degrees cooler than the south.
Without global warming it should still be snowing this time of year.

PS.
You should never ask an Englishman about the weather. We can go on about it all day.

Ah I would say body, since he wants to know where the bracket on the body goes. If the truth was known, 30 years ago they probably just threw the jack in there where it looked good and welded the bracket down. You will probably have to get someone with the same year car as yours and measure it out for you.
