I was kinda thinking that too ianandjess, didnt want to pee in someones coffee  they were decent but when I was in the market for a chrome racing mirrors set, I eventually caved and bought a set N.O.S. and it was not cheap! The quality was high however. I spoke with at least two people who are in the Chrome Plate business. It all comes down to how much time the plater puts in to your piece. the chrome plated parts our cars came with were cheap "potmetal" disassembling them 35 yrs, later results in some plated parts not working as they should, the drivers adjustable mirrors on the E-body is a perfect example.

Surprisingly good news! :D
I got a replacement mirror on friday. After three months of waiting! Yes it has a bit of shelf wear but it is still NOS and I am very happy about it. I like Happy endings! :D

Here is the last I have heard from him. Mr Bad Guy wasn´t bad after all. :s025:

We have a saying here: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

If you have noticed, eBay reinstated my account. From what I understand, that does not happen often. I hope that gives you an indication that I am not full of shit. Also, I had USPS start sending you updated information by email giving you updates on the status of the delivery of your mirror. I hope you enjoy your mirror. If the other ever turns up, concider it a gift. Sell it on eBay if you like, I wont complain.

Best wishes,

-Jeff

Makes me feel a little bad that I have suspected him to be a Bad Guy. My excuse is that to become a non-registred-ebayer is one of the worst things you can do if you want to keep a high level of trust. :|

Thanks for your comments and support, guys! I have had this issue in the back of my head for a couple of months now so, yes, it is a relief that it has been solved. I was quite confident that I wouldn´t get anything at all when I noticed that the seller had become a non-registred-ebayer. I am lucky that I was wrong. :D
