I'm thinking of a rechrome for the rear of the 73. All that fresh paint and a faded bumper don't mix well.

I might be getting three Challengers soon and can use your old ones there. Keeping it under the radar for now..........

I do like those new exhaust tips! They fit just perfect, like they were meant for it. And they don't look out of place at all. I still prefer the orig style though - i think they were very ahead of the time. The Mustang and Chal comparo is interesting -especially nose to nose. See how the Chal has a more raked windscreen than the Stang. For a 1965/66 design, our Chals sure cut the mustard still.

I bet your exhaust is loud -do you have resonators next to the fuel tank, or just those two mufflers? A 440 and no X pipe -yep that would be loud.

Yes, don't even think about doing the hood decal yourself. I would even make sure the guy who is doing it has done them before. I even stuffed up the small 71 RT one that goes behind the door. I was fuming mad. i watched an expert doing the rest of my stripes -all dry -he made it look so easy -but it isn't. But he said the hood decal would definitely have to be done wet.

My tank gave up on me for the second time.........Ordered a new one from Dante'. Installed and also put on 70 centers and I have yet to put on the emblems on the trunk lid and the hood blackout..........

.......Had a small birthday last week........Now 59....... ..anyway...my two boys surprised me on Sunday with my present........There is a local shop that specilizes in restoration and the engine compartment is a prize area......SO.....I get a complete engine detail job. I know that when I did the engine bay...I did not pull the engine and when painted I did it in black as the car is yellow and black. Well.....not for long......thats part of the deal. And the bay is supposed to look as if it came from the factory when I get her back. He said it would take about 2 to 3 weeks. I am now waiting for the call to take her to the shop. Pics to follow.............

Went to a car show Sat.....round trip about 110 miles. There were 94 cars , trucks, etc entered. I took first place in the pre '80's class. I think I got lucky........
