Need tire and wheel feedback fast...

I found 4 brand new 0 miles DeZenyo Vapor wheels and Kumho Ecsta Tires that have a backspacing is 5.95 in, offset is +24mm. The tires are 245/45/17's Y rated.

Should I take a chance on them for $500 knowing I will have to use a wheel spacer to get the right fit?

They are going on 73 challenger

I don't like using spacers. I wouldn't touch them. But I understand you wanting them.

I could have said "yeah go for it" because it is not my money and if it all goes tits up it's no skin off my nose.

Then again if it does all work out alright you will have a bargin.

I think you need to decide this one yourself.

5.95" backspacing? That means that you will have to use fairly thick spacers right? The most common backspacing use to be in the range between 4" and 4.5" if I have understood things right.

Except for the cost of spacers you might run into some kind of problems with your lug nuts? :?

It is very easy to get blinded by the chance of earning a couple of bucks. :s008: I suggest that you donĀ“t get blinded and buy a set of wheels that fits like a glove instead, even if it will cost you much more.

The fact that I have fallen into a number of traps during my years has made me a cautious man. :s022:

I did pass on these wheels and tires. They were a good deal but the possible fit problems and fact that spacers would be required scared my off.

Looking at something else now. I wish picking wheels and tires would be easier for us.

If you want to discuss wheels and tires for a 1973 I can share what I ended up doing. As everyone has told you, you need to be careful and find the right fit.........let me know if you are interested.
