Nitrous on a 383...

Postby stones » 23 Mar 2006 19:13

Hi i am restoring my 71 R/T 383 back to about 95% original including the 383 Magnum stock exept cam and headers.
My question is as follows? i whould like to install a nitrous system (about 150 hp) in it for some extra punch now and then, is this a good working combination? do i need an extra fuel supply of some sort?

Oh God yes. You will need a good fuel supply. Any drop in fuel pressure and BOOM!

I suggest you find out a lot more about these systems and the damage they can do before you start.

There is some good info here.

But please note that this guy is now in a wheelchair. :s022:
