hi. was it possible for an individual to purchase a standard challenger and add, as an option, the rallye hood and instrument cluster WITHOUT also buying the fender scoops and stripes? from what i understand, there was no "rallye" model anyway in '73...it was only an option. so, did you have to buy the entire rallye package or could you pick just some of the items in the package?
two other things, should the stripe on a '73 be above or below the body line? and where is the "fender tag"?

Yes, you could pick these items without the hole package. According to the "databook & price guide" the performance hood was a $20 option and ralleye instrumentpanel was a $75-$85 option on ´72 Challenger. In ´74, the rallye instrument panel was a $86 option and sport hood was priced at $21. I assume that these figures also was valid in ´73 but the book isn´t quite clear in that matter.
I am uncertain about the stripe but the fender tag is placed on the upper side of the left inner fender. I am sure that Dave will fill the gaps and correct me but I hope this answer will do for the moment.
