I read in my 'Big Book of how to Drag Race' that it's common for even experienced drivers to be caught out with over- correcting drifts, especially with low- pressure slicks in the rear. Apparently, the tyre wall leans over in the direction of the drift, making it feel as though the car's more offline than it really is. The driver snaps the car too far back in the other direction and Presto! you're into the barrier or on your lid.
Looks like he/ she walked away, which is the important thing.
