What kind of rims are these?

Five slot aluminum rims, most likely made by American Racing but other wheels makers had them too. Sometimes the name or logo is on the backs of the wheels and on the center caps.

Over here in England "Wolfrace" was the most popular brand that looked like that. No self respecting 1970s custom car could be seen without either a set of those or a set of Appliance chrome 5-spokes. :D

So these would be correct for the year? Just not stock.

I'm not sure if that particular wheel is correct that that particular year (I can't remember when slot mags came out) but the wheels are very correct for the '70s in general.

In fact lot of these cars (esp. cars that were going to end up on the track) were ordered with the plain steel wheels simply because the owners had every intention of throwing them away as soon as the got the car home so they could fit custom wheels.

They were very hard to keep polished though. Most people had them polished up and then laquered to try and keep them that way. But they never looked as good when laquered.

looks to be a US Indy wheel. Is there an American flag type design on any of the center caps? If there is that is what they are.
