Wiper arm attachment

Postby zerngl » 04 Oct 2005 18:19

I just finally fixed my wipers. After buying a new motor, discovered problem was the switch not being grounded. New problem with the driver's side wiper arm. It has a smaller arm that runs down to a small post that comes out next to the drive arm spline. And of course, it is broken. Looks bent and too short to fit through the smaller arm far enough to catch on the clip attached. Thought I could find an aftermarket arm that didn't need the separate smaller arm but no luck. This problem can't be that uncommon. Any suggestions? Either need to drill out the smaller post and pop in a rivet or find a replacment arm that doesn't require the second shaft.

Thanks
Gary

You should be able to find a good used replacement for that part easily enough. It was used on most mopars around that time.
