Holley street dominator.

I was reading some of the old posts about this intake.

Dave , what is your opinion on it? How did it compare to the stock intake? I'm not worried about the 6 pak comparison.

Thanks,

LKS

If you have had a street dom please feel free to post your opinions, i only noticed that Dave had used one.

I didn't notice any power increase to be honest but had not been on a track in those days so I have no way of knowing if it would have improved times. In theory it should have helped top end power.

It needed more pump shot to stop it bogging because of the large open chamber design. Polished up it looked good and at that time that was more important to me.

Geez, This might not sit well, I was glad when they quit making 'em.

Never dyno'd a street dom, but I liked 'em.

Did a few "mule" motors long ago using street dominator intakes., just street junkers with low comp., iron heads(ported), hydraulic cam, 3.91 gears etc. Damned if one guys Challenger didn't run consistent 12.40's all day long ! With stock cast .120" downhole terd pistons ! Was REAL BAD for business ! Everybody wanted the cheapy Mule motors ! Arrrggghhh !

I dunno ?? they seemed to be very underrated at the time, remember I'm just not current today though.
