Hello. I have been looking but as far as I can tell the only difference between output shafts is the lengths. I cannot find any reference that says they have different numbers of teeth. Nor can I find a reference that says how many teeth they have. :?

The INPUT shaft yes. But the output shaft no.

As someone suggested in one of your other threads, be sure you are not counting the splines in the slip yoke as (I guess?) there will be one tooth difference as the splines in there mate with the gaps in the shaft? I can't make up my mind about if that would be the case or not? You didn't respond to that so I thought maybe that was the answer?

This is the third thread you have started on this subject. Please don't start a new thread every time you post a message. Just reply to your own message to "bump" it. Thanks.

I will delete the other two threads.

Like I said I can't find any reference that says anything about different output shaft splines. BB or SB. They were made in different lengths though and pre '66 used a bolt-on yoke instead of the slip yoke.

The input shaft however had 19 splines from 1962-66
From 1967 the shaft was made slightly thicker with 24 splines.

Lock-up units use a 23 spline input shaft.
