I am not sure if there is a release date yet.

Keep an eye on the Internet Movie Database or one of the fan clubs for details. The fans usually find out before anyone else.

How many times have you wondered how strong those cement
barriers were that you see in front of military base entrances????
Read below and then view the clip...

From time to time someone asks me what the concrete barriers are in front of controlled and secure buildings. When I tell them that the barriers will stop traffic, even trucks, from approaching the secure building I usually get a look of disbelief. I've been looking for some footage like this to prove my point. In this test, the following parameters were used. Read them and then watch the film.

Truck = 65,000 lbs.

Speed = 50 mph

Kinetic Energy = 5.5 MILLION ft. lbs.

Stopped in 24 INCHES !!!

My comment: I wonder how long the truck in the clip would have moved the excavation machines in the very well known movie named Vanishing point? :wink:

Here is another video clip on the D.O.H. theme. Ms Simpson is a terrible singer but look out for the way she washes the General Lee at the end. :nod:

Methinks that 3 months after this movie is released, many, many young souls shall deprive their villages of perfectly good "idge-yits" similar to when "the fast and the furious" hit theatres.

Luckily, not too many B-bodies left within their collective financial grasp to wreck anymore. However, lots of vinyl and graphics.
My prediction, lots of assorted Honda's, neons, whatever, with a big "01" of the door to compliment the smaller "fartpipe" out back.

I see cut- off shorts are back in vogue then. :shock:

Last I heard The Dukes of Hazzard was set for an August UK release. It could turn out to be the film I was born to watch. :twisted:

Any sign of Roscoe P. Coltrane and Flash putting in an appearance?

You're probably right Dave, I do this to meself every time (sigh). On the one hand it could be a good film because:-

- Jessica's in it.
- Jessica's in it, in way too small for her own good cut- off shorts.
- The General Lee, through massive cinema speakers :twisted:
- Stiffler from American Pie's in it too
- So's Burt Reynolds
- Canyon jumps, with no damage whatsoever.
- People (hopefully) shouting "Yeee- Haargh" a lot.

But it probably won't be because:-

- That bloke from Jackass is in it, and crashing down a hill in a shopping trolley doesn't guarentee acting ability.
- You'll be able to drive the General through the plot- holes.
- Every time we see a Canyon Jump, we'll know it's one less Charger for the next generation to admire.
- My expectations are always too high. :frown:
