RT and Challenger Emblem Location

Postby roadrunner » 27 Mar 2005 12:54

I think I will put the RT and Challenger emblems back on my 1970 340 Challenger after I get the paint work done. Now the question is:

Does anyone have a good set of measurements/location as to where these go. I have a general idea, but was wanting something more accurate.

Any thoughts, good pics with measurements or????

Here is a nice little one that Dave posted before for the trunk.

That is a GREAT drawing for the truck placement!!! Anything like this for the fenders? A close estimate, or a couple pics with a measuring stick would be helpful.

Thanks a bunch for the trunk placement!!

I don't ever remember seeing one for fenders and such, but then again I dont really look for them since i don't have a r/t. Dave probably could of measured them for you, but his car is off to paint.

Mine were very badly placed when I got it so I repositioned them myself. I just guessed the location of mine. Same as the factory.

They may well have had detailed drawings to say where the badges should be placed but in reality they were slapped on without a huge amount of care. I would just study as many photos as you can and just eyeball it. No-one could ever say they were not right because when they came off the production line they were all over the place.

Thanks Dave. Just got my quarters on. It goes into the shop on Monday for paint from the doghouse on back. I painted the dog myself and it came out great but I simply don't have time to finish the rest. Can't wait to drive it as a complete Bright Blue Challenger.
