challenger specs??

hi i were just woundering if anyone knows the specs of an 1970 hemi challenger?? an original one that is!
0-60mph
1/4 mile time
top speed??

Check out this URL. It's a great source for comparing cars. Note these numbers came from different sources but are somewhat representative.

1970 Hemi RT Challenger 3.54 gears, 4 speed, 13.94@105
1970 Hemi SE Challenger 4.10 gears, 4 speed, 13.1

Numbers seem high, but check out this site, make your own conclusions.

If those engines were not 'tweaked' a little I will eat my socks! :shock:

I once took a pretty stock (except for slightly hotter cam) 440 4bbl Challenger with 3.23:1 gears and only just made the high 14s. Remember that was with a hotter cam.

I can't see a real stock 6pack or hemi going that much faster. But all the companies were tuning the 'magazine' road test cars because they knew a good write-up about the performance would sell the cars better than how well built (or not!) they were.
