70 ‘Header-type’ panel

Postby Brant » 26 Jan 2005 15:19

I've come across an image of a survivor 70 RT car. Noticed it had something giong on that most others don't. Can someone clarify why this 70 has a 71 type hood latch and lever, as I've never seen this before. It's almost as though the grill is a partial 71/70 combination.

I believe the source fo this photo, just thought someone could school me, so I become smarter. I've never seen this on a 70.

Thanks

I have never seen anything like that before except on cloned cars or cars that have had a new body fitted.

Also seen a few 71s dressed with 70 front and rear lights.

Never seen a real 70 with this type of metalwork.
