Torsion Bars diameter

Postby 72 challenger » 23 Jan 2005 23:34

I have found a website and they have many different radiouses of torion bars. They range from .81 to 1.22. My car is a 1972 Challenger and am going to drop a 440 in it. I always thought that the bigger the better, but I am not sure on the torsion bars.

I'm not sure if you are wanting advice on this or not?

A bigger bar is a stiffer bar. If your car was originally a small block car with .80 something or so bars, upgrading to the .96's will make it handle better with the 440.
