Bilko's 440 R/T SE

Postby Bilko » 16 Dec 2004 21:54

Hi everybody,
Thought I'd better get posting now I've found myself a car! It's a 1970 440 R/T SE auto in Plum Crazy with white hood. Everything works and it's a real clean car. My first job is to restore the interior, which is proving difficult as I can't find anyone who does replacement Vinyl and 'Houndstooth' cloth seat covers. Anyone have any ideas? (Rear seat is perfect, just need the two fronts). The worst thing is I've got the car just as the weather in England has turned wet and cold! With salt on the roads I must resist taking my baby out for a spin! I've only had the car a couple of weeks and I'm already on first name terms with the guys at Year One!

LMAO!!!! Yip, he's a bloody good guy aye, does everything he can to help.
Thats pretty keuwl to hear that he is helping both of us, he must be incharge of all overseas buyers. 8)

Moparmaniac: Yearone isn't that over priced, and for us overseas buyers paying that 0-$10 extra on "some" products is nothing when I know that my package(s) are going to arrive quickly in excellent condition and with confirmation emails and tracking numbers to boot. Legendary only sell one line where as if you had a chasis you could basically build a car from scratch with the ammount of parts Yearone has. Buy in bulk saves more, besides I get 15% off now!! Yehaaaaaaa  :D 8) :s017:

Hey Hans, whats the Mopar scene like in Holland? I usually try to get over at least once a year for a weekend, and this year I would like to bring the Challenger and maybe hook up with some of you Dutch Mopar owners for a beer and a visit to the Pannekoukhuis. :D Any good meets coming up?

Yep, I got a full replacement including new foam from Legendary and fitted them myself. Interior now looks like new. (Did the headliner too).
