I have come across some receipts for engine work done on my 440. It was 24 years ago, but amazingly only 750 miles since then. the receipts read like this.
bore cyl .030
recondition connecting rods
polish crank
balance engie (with totals)
install cams
valve job / mill 2 heads
renew guids $total 378.62 usd
The cam sheet reads : crower baja torquemaster
rocker ratio 1.5:1
advertised duration: 264 degrees intake and exhuast
intake/exhuast lift: .450"
approx spring pressure close 115lbs @1-41/64"
approx spring pressure valve open 280lbs @full lift
intake and exhuast lobe lift .297"
Without knowing how much was done to the heads can anyone dare say what kinda set up I have here. The car has always run very rich due to the 25 year old cab and single plane weiland manifold, which is another question (what carb intake combo for street/stip use) with this set up. The car has 4.56 gears in the rear which were very low until the 29 inch tires went on....I have the car striped down mechanically for paint and would like to know if refreshed what is this engines potential as is... thanks
