what is need for proper fit? I have console,but no brakets. My main concern is the fit by shifter, the shifter boot shows thru.is there a cover,or what? RPM artworks....

The 4 speed shifter came with the cutout. The boot is exposed. If your car originally had a console, then you would have the mounting brackets.
