1973 Window Adjustment

Postby Milo » 03 Aug 2004 23:20

Windows on both doors are are 1/4 inch or more gap at top (leaning out)

Any good insite on how to adjust the tops in? I've been playing with them for about 2 hours with no good results.

Thanks
Milo

Meaning what? Are you saying the adjusters in the doors are not giving you enough movement?? Or have you not found how to adjust them at all??

From memory (and mine is always bad) there is an adjustment to move the bottom of the glass out so that the top moves in.

If the rear quarters have been replaced badly, and the doors aligned with them, you might have trouble getting the glass to sit right.

I just replaced all of the weatherstrip around the door and quarter windows and am having a little trouble. Everything is lined up pretty well however with the door closed as the window is wound up it tends to want to go behind the quarter glass seal. The bottom channel adjustments are maxed out to tilt the glass outward at the top also. Any thoughts?

Something to do with the seal?

I remember having trouble getting my glass IN at the top far enough for a good seal. :?
