starting to look like a car again. . . Seen an ad for polished steering coloums so i made my own. $210.. including new turnsignal switch, ignition switch and paint and chrome shop fees. Pictures dont do it justice. had all the light bezels, door handles, latches and vin tag chromed while at it.

installed the Baer brakes pretty easy install. wish the wiring was this easy. ( see electrical system)

bradgrott this cars of yours will be the envy of many of us when you have finished you are paying attention to details that i hnt even thought of this gives us good ood for thought as we do our own resto's

Took my baby for the first drive, only about 3 miles but it was enough to lite the fire under my axel to get the car finished. The demon 825 ran great out of the box, I am sure it needs a little adjusting but good enough for a quick blast around the block. I was starting to give up felt like it was taking too long, costing too much and far too much left to do. Nothing like running a built 440 with open headers in the middle of the night to shake the blue's. I am still looking for a clean way to run the plug wires, anybody have some suggestions.

The only concern is the motor has no vacuum at idle for the brakes, the baer kits gets plenty as the rpms climb, almost went into a four wheel slide the first time I hit them at high speed.

Wow , what a transformation. Bet you're glad you never did it sublime now , as it looks menacing in that dark grey. Are you able to keep the 10 x 18's at the back with the new rear 1/4s or is it getting new rims ?
I admire your dedication and patience over the past 18 months.

Thanks, the 18 x 10 with the 4.5 offset will not fit so i have a set of dodge magnum stock steel wheels on for now. I have test fit the same rim with 6.0 offset and it tucked fine. left about 3/4 of an inch with a 295/50//18 between the leaf spring and sidewall , now i just have to decide what style rims or make it easy (read: cheeper) and order just new ones for the rear....

ps just noticed that the caption on the engine pics didnt make sence.

The question was: Anybody seen a clean way to run plug wires?

I like the msd plug wire "blocks" helps in organising the wires and keeping them off the headers. They also make re-pop "brackets for the stock wires. I use 8.5 mm MSD SC wires and they wont fit the stock brackets anyways. Sharp Challenger, good looking wheels Magnums, huh.

My friend with the magnum totalled the car, he was ok and so was his 20 inch black chrome wheels. the black chromes good, the20 inch tires bad, definitly will stay with 18s so i can put some meat under the car however the black chrome doesnt look too bad. it was nice and warm today, took the car out for a wash and wax and burned some tread off the 4o series. wish my buddies would of been off to day to help me film some of the carnage with the new vid cam santa left ... :s025:
