New paint is next year. To those who have restored, or built a Chally in the past, a new member of the "sticker shock" has been added!!

I'll take a couple of shots and add it next week. Seats and carpet are shot, (although I ordered new vinyl and carpet to be here Friday) but everything else is good.

Here are some shots of the interior. I have done nothing to it yet, other than the no expense spared custom vent aiming device you see left of the steering wheel.!

It is currently j6, which I believe is Avocado Gold. Next year it will be painted B8 or Dark Blue Metallic, which is a 70's Dodge color, although not a challenger color.

Hey there Insurance Guy!

Are you planning on attending the Spring Fling in Carnation Wa in 2004?

If so, we should try to run into eachother.

Todd,

How about posting some recent photos of your car.

You have T/A Style Exhaust tips now, Right?

What else have you done lately?

New Motor Running Strong?

Steve,

You can see the tips in the first photo. Sort of…

As we speak, the car is in the shop, getting a Be-Cool radiator, new alternator (75 amp), New torsion bars (.92) new front sway bars (1 1/8) sub frame connectors (weld in rather than bolt in) new leaf springs, rear sway bar (7/8) and rear end is going from a 741 to a 742 with a 3.23 sure-grip.

Interior is getting an in dash tach I purchased from http://www.redlinegaugeworks.com/ I bought last year and a NOS gas gauge.

Should be done in 2 weeks or so, and I'll post. I may even get some under carriage shot's to show why I am so keen on TTI's system...

Here are a couple of pics of the headers..

All work cheerfully hired out :? I actually have a client and good friend who has been a mechanic forever. The best part is he loves mopars, and actually built a chally for each of his Sons. One of his son's works at the same shop as the old man, and he flat tracks with Dart's...

Between the two of them and this board, I have got some great ideas. Now all I have to do is pay for them...

Next is a sound system. Must have tunes, but I want to hide everything so it looks stock..

Looks great Todd,

I also went through all that new torsion bars, large diameter sway bar, Poly bushing etc. stuff. Sure is worth it. Handles great.
Added a quick ratio pitman arm too.

You have the same style exhaust tips I have. The T/A style tips dump out in front of the rear tires on each side.

The Mopar show is only 2 months away. Do you want to see the 2003 Mopar EuroNats video? I could mail it to you if you like. You could mail it back when you're finished.

Later,
SteveO

Don't laugh at my 'burnout' outside the pub  and bear in mind the weekend was forecast to be VERY wet (which it was at times) so the turnout of show cars in particular was lower than normal.

Pity they do not show us drinking ouside our tents until 4am. Then again maybe it is better that way.

As a Challenger owner, I thought this was a prerequisite?

All new hoses as well. Had a bit of a time trial and error until I found a proper fit. Glad the shop it's in had a large selection

Todd,

How's the car coming along?

Just a reminder, May 1st is the all MoPar Drags and May 2nd is the show and shine.

Made sure you have an approved helmet for the drags.
DRIVER – HELMET – must use a helmet meeting Snell 90, 95, or 2000 rating.

The Rear End is apart again. I bought an assembled 489 with 3.55 gears and trac-loc, and it's been making a lot of noise. So back to Randy's
Ring and Pinion I go.

I am going to the spring round up @ carnation may 2. The little one gets to eat pie and ride ponies, and the old man gets to prowl the swap meet to find bits and pieces to fuel my obsession.

I still need a little set up before I run down the 1/4 mile. I need a tranny shield (blankets work better, but to much heat) and a drive shaft loop. I also need to work on the wheel hop. Ladder bars are good, or a Pinion snubber, but I am still gathering info.

I am planning to come as a spectator, though!

Todd

Here is the spring roundup info

If you can find a trans shield that fits without modification to the car then please let me know because I will get one too.

All you need at this stage is a pinion snubber. It makes a lot of difference to your rear grip and launch. You need to adjust it up to just a quarter inch off the floor pan when racing.

I'll probably use a trans shield like this one. My tranny guy said it's not to bad to install.

I put a little over 6400km on it this last year. This fall I will have it laid up for 5 months while it gets painted. I will not be the best company during this time
