You just plumb it in with an adapter that goes behind the filter or in line with a cooler. It comes in different sizes but it would not be easy to hide out of sight.
The thing works by filling with oil when the engine is running and the oil under pressure. The oil pressure pushes back a piston in the accumulator as it fills. Then if for any reason you loose pressure in the system (like high gees pulling oil away from the pick-up in the sump) the spring loaded piston pushes oil back out to keep the system at full pressure.
If you fit a electronic valve in line with it then it stops the accumulator draining when you switch off. When you switch back on again it pressurises the system before you start. A great bit of kit.
