I don't have a fan shroud and thinking about not getting one.I have heard that its important to have or the car will overheat.is this true or is it just to keep your hands from bein cut off?

You need one. If you have a 26" radiator, I have a fan shroud that will fit, brand new. They go for a bit over a hundy. I have $80 in mine. I can't use it on this car, because the radiator is a 23".

Marcus does not need one but they are a good idea if your engine is putting out more power than stock or if you live in a hot country (i.e. anywhere except the ice caps or England) or if you have Air Con fitted. None of my cars have had one but I always thought it would be better to fit one if I could. I just never got around to it.

I have a very powerful electric fan on a thermostat now and I might make a shroud to fit around it some time in the near future. That thing is scary when it suddenly starts up!
