Door panel repair

Postby Tom (Animaltom) » 23 Aug 2002 0:20

Hi,I have a inch long crack in one of my door panels at the end by the dash. It can`t be seen when the door is closed and I wanted to seal up the crack and was wondering if anyone knows what type of plastic the challenger panels were made of so that I can get the right stuff. Either that or if anyone knows of a product that i can use to seal up the crack. Like I said,it`s not that noticeable and it looks like an easy fix,I just want to make sure the crack doesn`t reappear because I used the wrong glue. Thanks,Tom.

If the edges are a good tight fit together I would use a tiny amount of superglue. I would also stick a thin piece of flexible aluminium on the back to re-enforce the join. I did this on a crack in the panel along the front of my bath and you would have a hard job seeing it.

Anyone else got ant suggestions?
