Well, normally I'm not really that set on making stupid DOX. But I guess this
one requires some explanation {Darn Darn, bad luck for me}.

Installation -2-
------------
a) Why to install this Cruel-Chatter !
--------------------------------------
First let's get you rollin' ! Let's install this PPE huh !
What do you mean - "Why should I install it!".
That's fairly simple you know :
Because this chatter has got more features then the most chatters
for PCBoard
E.G. - Capture your chat : * Good looking, readable Capture File
* User can download his personal Capture File
{If the sysop allows him to!}
* Both the user and the sysop can TOGGLE their
own Capture ON/OFF
- Multi chat screens : * Jump from one screen to another
* One default screen in which your boardname
can be written in a COOL font !
* A billion other for you to make ;-)
{5 others are included}
- Use of macro's : * 5O Macro's for you to use
* Use colors as much as you want, it won't
mess up!
* Toggle macro use ON/OFF inside the chatter
* Add macro's INSIDE! the chatter
- Edit user stats : * Look at or change ANY users info
- View system file : * You can view ANY file you want
{Includes: Any text file, Ansi codes,
PCBoard @Codes}
* Choose between Non-Stop Display or Line-
Counting Display
- View help : * Both user and sysop can view a help file
* The guy that's NOT viewing the help file
will have to look at some cool sentences
- Clear screen : * Woow !! ;-)

b) Installation !
------------------
So for all you guys who are still reading this part ;-) let's install the PPE..
First and for all, I hope you Unzipped this using the -D (Create Directory)
option. Make sure that all files named SCREEN*.* are located in the subdir.
"DATA\" !!
There are two ways off going about it:
1: - Edit your PCBTEXT file
- Press F3
- Type 333 and press enter
- Now change that line to something like this:
!DRIVE:\PCBDIR\PPLDIR\FL-CHAT.PPE

- Press escape
- Installed !
2: - Run PCBSETUP.EXE
- Press G
- Press H
- Now change one of these lines to something like explained earlier.
- Exit PCBSETUP {Don't forget to save when exiting}
- Installed !

Let's talk a bit about the stuff you can do with this chatter.
You already saw a brief summary on the features in this PPE, well, now I'll
try to give some kinda description about how, why, when, where and so on.
a) Capture your Chat.
---------------------
Many chatters have got a build-in capture system. {Sounds good huh ;)}
So what makes this one better then the rest...
* While chatting you can toggle the capture on or off by pressing
CTRL-C
* It's readable - Like reading some stupid novel
* You can see when the capture has been turned on or off in the
Help-screen {CTRL-Z}
* Not only you can capture your chat, but the user can as well
- "The user can too ?"
Yubz, he can : It's a seperate file that has to be located somewhere in your
dowload-path, so the caller can download his capture.
Ofcourse, this can only be done if it is said so in the Config-File. Read
more about it in the "CONFIGURATION FILE"-Section
b) Multi Chat-Screens.
----------------------
This is one of the best features included in CRUEL Chatter if you ask me.
This was the main reason I started coding this PPE - After using some chatter
for a long time, I started to get really tired and sick of that same old
stupid chat-screen. So I started installing more then one chatter so I could
switch. But hey, that sucked, so I started coding this CRUEL Chatter.
* There is one main chat-screen with fixed height, width and colors.
This chatscreen has the ability to write your Boardname, or any
other string in a cool font.
Take a look at the "CONFIGURATION FILE"-Section for more info.
* You can switch from one chat-screen to another WHILE CHATTING.
You can do this by pressing CTRL-N {next chat-screen}, or CTRL-P
{previous chat-screen}, or by pressing CTRL-J {jump to #}.
How to add chat-screens...
* First draw a screen ;-) {This may be ansi- or pcb-screens}
* Name your file SCREEN{x}.PCB where the {x} stands for a number.
Make sure that there exists a file named SCREEN{x-1}.PCB, unless
it is the first external chat-screen {SCREEN1.PCB}.
* Edit the file called SCREEN{x}.DAT where the {x} has the same value
as the SCREEN{x}.PCB File !
FILE : SCREEN{x}.DAT
Line 1 : X-Position of the sysops FIRST line
Line 2 : Y-Position of the sysops FIRST line
Line 3 : X-Position of the sysops LAST line
Line 4 : Y-Position of the sysops LAST line
Line 5 : X-Position of the users FIRST line
Line 6 : Y-Position of the users FIRST line
Line 7 : X-Position of the users LAST line
Line 8 : Y-Position of the users LAST line
Line 9 : Color in which the sysop has to type
Line 10: Color in which the user has to type
Make sure you put the .PCB and the .DAT file in the subdirectory
.\DATA !! Otherwise it won't work..
That's it, you now have created a new chat-screen.......
c) Use of macro's.
-------------------
This one is kinda getting boring too, but it's a cool feature, so I quickly
intalled it...
* While chatting you can toggle the use of macro's on or off by
pressing CTRL-R
"Why not CTRL-M ???" - Because that has got the value 13h and
as you probably know, that's the enter key ;-)
* You may add up to 50 macro's in the macro-file {MACRO.LST}
* You may use the PCBoard's integrated color codes {@X..}
* While chatting try pressing CTRL-A, It will give you the ability
to add macro's while you're chatting... No more exit to dos to
do this !
One more thing about these macro's. If you notice that some macro's
are not written, then don't panic, it's not a bug.
Here's why: Because of the multiple chat-screens, I can't really
know how big the macro's may be. Therefore I simply check the width
of the chat-screen, and if the macro is too large, it will NOT be
printed...
d) Edit user stats.
-------------------
I have build in this User-Editor to make it easy for you to change the users'
stats. This way you don't have to run PcbSm.Exe to do this.
* View the users' stats by pressing CTRL-U
* You can move from one field to another by pressing the Left-,
Right-, Up- and Down-Key.
* Press enter to change the highlighted field
Just one thing, those silly Coders who have made the PPL-Compiler,
have excluded some variables, so there are some stats which can NOT
be changed. These fields have a grey color when selected, the others
have a nice green color.
e) View system file.
--------------------
In this chatter you don't have to exit to dos for viewing some file
outside PCBoard. Just press CTRL-V and type in the full path and
filename of the file you want to view.
After this you have to choose between Non-Stop Display, or Line
Counting Display. I have included this because it's sometimes easier
to view Ansi-Files in Non-Stop Mode, and text-files are always easier
to look at line by line... Unless ofcourse you read very fast :-)
Be aware that it does NOT support viewing .ZIP-Files ! Only text
files, ansi's and PCBoards @-Codes.
So viewing your autoexec.bat would cause no problems at all ;-)
f) View help.

* Press CTRL-Z and take a look, it's all quite obvious...
g) Beeping.

Nice and easy, just try pressing CTRL-G.
h) Clear screen.
