If you are upgrading
IMPORTANT! Before upgrading, back up your current ULP directory.
There is currently no OS/2 compile so if you are using ULP/2 and
want to upgrade, you are going to need to switch to the DOS version.
The DOS version *does* release timeslices under multitaskers and does
support OS/2 comm ports directly (see the -o switch). You should
notice little, if any, difference in operation.
To switch, you will need to rename your ulp2.pdt file to ulp.pdt. You
should also copy your cfg file, load it into ulpsm, and change any
archivers, testers, etc... to use DOS equivalents. You should
copy pcbtest.cmd to pcbtest.bat, edit it to call ulp instead of ulp2
with the appropriate options, and rename pcbtest.cmd to something else
so pcboard2 doesn't see it. Finally, edit any events to call the DOS
version for nightly ULP Batch testing and ULPSM database compiling.
If these are in an OS/2 event, either have that event call a DOS batch
file, or move them to a DOS event.
