Made the WARNING.TXT file optional. If it exists it will be
displayed. If not the program will just continue on.
09-12-1995 10:17:00 v8.01
Well, it finally dawned on me that there was an easier way to go
about getting the program to work with PCBoards LAST DIR DATE
specification. DONT USE IT!
The whole purpose of the program is to show callers a list of all
the new files added since there last login not there last file
scan. So, instead of using the LAST DIR DATE as a way to check
against recently added files, I decided lets use there LAST LOGIN
DATE <g>.
And last but not least I added a section to the program that will
notify callers that NO new files were uploaded since there last
call, if there are none.
09-12-1995 v8.01
Made the WARNING text shown to the caller when he or she opts to
scan for new files configurable.
09-11-1995 v8.01
LAST DIR DATE problem -
One of the problems that had to be overcome was the fact that
the callers LAST DIR DATE in there users file cannot be updated by
any type of program. The only way it can be updated is by the caller
viewing "ALL" the latest files added to the system. If the caller
only views half of the recently uploaded files there LAST DIR DATE
will remain at what is was when they logged on.
In order to get around this, what I have done is to trick PCBoard
into thinking all the files have been viewed by using the N;S;A;NS
file command at the very end of the program.
This process however, is invisible to the caller.
Now whether or not the caller views all of the files his stats will
be updated each time the program is run.
I have added a warning message in the program letting the caller
know about this process.
09-07-1995 16:10:00 v8.01
Added a new option to the program that allows the SysOp to
choose which file area they want to use as there upload area.

date and time the lastest files were uploaded and also lets
them know when they last scanned the file directories.
