The Chatcmd.exe command-line utility is similar to many other command line utilities. It consists of the command itself, Chatcmd, followed by various switches and parameters. It incorporates a unique built-in batch option, called a response file, that allows the operator to set up configuration files in advance to make major changes to the configuration of a network. This option is also useful in the event of a server or hard disk error where the server configuration must be reinstalled quickly and accurately. The response files can be saved offsite to ensure their survival. Generally, a single command-line or response file can be run on a list of servers in a chat network.
