Viewing Performance Logs for Data Analysis and Trending

To view performance data for analysis, you use the Performance Monitor Chart window.

To view data from a Performance Monitor log

1. From the Start menu, choose Programs, choose Administrative Tools (Common), and then choose Performance Monitor.
2. From the Options menu, choose Data From.
3. Select Log File.
4. Locate the Performance Monitor log file, and then choose OK.
5. From the View menu, choose Chart.
6. From the Edit menu, choose Add To Chart.
7. Select a chat server you want to view performance data from.
8. Select an object (for example, Chat Service), and then add the counters you want to view. To add several counters at the same time, hold down the CTRL key while you select them.
9. Repeat the preceding step for each object.
10. Choose Done when you are finished.
