Use this property sheet to indicate the type of messages you want to filter in a persistent channel and to choose the filter you want to apply to the channel.
This property sheet contains the following options.
| Option | Description |
| Do not filter messages | Directs the Profanity Filter extension not to filter messages sent to the channel. |
| Filter messages | Enables message filtering for the channel. When you enable filtering, you can apply a specific filter and indicate whether you want the filter to apply to all messages in the channel or to only those messages sent to all channel members. |
| Select filter | Directs the Profanity Filter extension to apply a selected filter to messages in this channel. Select the drop-down menu and choose the list you want to apply. If you need to create a filter, go to the service's Profanity Filter property sheet and choose Edit lists. |
| (Apply to) All messages | Directs the Profanity Filter extension to apply the selected filter to all messages sent to channel members. This includes all join or part messages and private (member-to-member) messages sent using the PRIVMSG, WHISPER, and NOTICE commands. |
| (Apply to) Only messages sent to entire channel | Directs the Profanity Filter extension to apply the selected filter only to messages sent to all channel members. In this case, member-to-member messages sent using the WHISPER command are not subject to filtering. |
