Service: Messages Property Sheet

Use this property sheet to designate messages and other information that you want Chat Service to display to clients.

This property sheet contains the following options.

Option Description

Service title
Designates the title of the service, which clients see in the welcome message when they connect to the service. The default title is Microsoft Exchange Chat Service. The service title is limited to 63 characters.

Message of the day
Designates information that you want displayed to clients when they log on. This information is also displayed to Microsoft Internet Chat (MIC) clients that query the message of the day. The message of the day is limited to 1,007 characters.

Administrator information
Designates information displayed to clients when they run the IRC ADMIN command. Information in the Administrator information box is limited to 119 characters.

MMC administrator's comment
Designates the text that appears next to the server name in the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) window. The administrator's comment text is limited to 63 characters.
