Complete the following steps to disconnect a user from the service.

To disconnect a user from Chat Service

  1. From the Chat Service Manager utility, select a chat server under Microsoft Exchange Chat Service in the left pane.
  2. From the Action menu, choose Task, and then choose Disconnect user. This performs the same action as the IRC KILL nickname command and the chatcmd /KillUser option.
  3. In the Disconnect User dialog box, type the user's nickname, user name, and domain name.

Note The Nickname, User name, and Domain name options accept the asterisk (*) and the question mark (?) as wildcard characters.
  4. If you want to indicate why you are disconnecting the user, type the reason in the Reason box; otherwise, choose Disconnect.
  5. Choose Yes.
