Adding Sysops or Sysop Managers

Complete the following steps to add users to the chat sysop or chat sysop manager accounts.

To add a sysop or sysop manager

Tip Add individual members directly to the sysop or sysop manager accounts if you plan to add only a few users. Otherwise, use the Windows NT User Manager utility to create a group for the users, and then add the group to the account.

1. From the Chat Service Manager utility, select a chat server under Microsoft Exchange Chat Service in the left pane.
2. Open Accounts in the left pane.
3. Select Chat Sysops or Chat Sysop Managers. The sysop and sysop manager accounts are automatically created when you install Chat Service.
4. From the Action menu, choose New, and then choose Add member.
5. In the Add Member dialog box, locate the names or groups you want to add, and then choose OK.
