Activating Configuration Changes

As a Windows NT service, Chat Service can be started, paused, continued, and stopped by several means. To put new configuration settings into effect, you pause and then continue the service from the Chat Service Manager utility.

To activate Chat Service configuration changes

1. From the Chat Service Manager utility, select a chat server under Microsoft Exchange Chat Service in the left pane.
2. From the Action menu, choose Task, and then choose Pause service.
3. From the Action menu, choose Task, and then choose Continue service.
