To Set Up the Discussion Channel

Now set up a discussion channel for the event participants.

  1. Select Channels (Rooms) in the left pane.
  2. From the Action menu, choose New, and then choose Create channel.
  3. In the Name box, type a channel name that identifies the event, and then choose OK. Be sure to precede the channel name with a valid channel prefix (#, &, %#, or %&).
  4. From the General property sheet, type a topic that identifies what will be discussed at the event in the Topic box.
  5. From the Settings property sheet, set Member limit to the number of chat users that are expected to participate, and then choose OK.
