To Create the Member Account

After you connect to the chat server, create a member account.

Select the chat server, and then select Accounts in the left pane.
From the Action menu, choose New, and then choose Create chat account.
Type the name of the account in the Name box. The account name is limited to 31 characters.
If you want to associate this account with a Windows NT group, select the Associate a Windows NT group with this account check box. If the group does not exist, Chat Service creates one with the same name as the member account.

Through this association, only members of the group are allowed to join the channel. This is the preferred method for creating a member account.
Choose OK.

Add members to the account

Tip If you plan to add fewer than 10 members to the account, use the following procedure. Otherwise, use the Windows NT User Manager utility to add them.

Select the new account in the left pane.
From the Action menu, choose New, and then choose Add member.
In the Add Member dialog box, locate the names you want to add to the account (or just type them in), and then choose OK.
