AsmWiz 2.0, 11/03/94:

The final release of AsmWiz. Misc updates. No more manual,
but much lower price. See ORDER.FRM for details.

AsmWiz 1.7, 09/15/94:

The registered version of AsmWiz now comes with a complete
printed manual. This is 8.5" high by 5.5" wide, to fit neatly
in normal bookshelves, and GBC bound to lie flat when open
for convenient reference. It contains the entire text of the
ASMWIZ.DOC and ASMWIZ.MAN files. The registration price has
been raised to $35.00 to cover the additional costs involved.

Fixed a bug in S0_UPCASES which caused it not to function.

The FI_MATCH routine was case-sensitive. It isn't any more.

There were some reports of link errors using AsmWiz with
TLINK and with some versions of LINK, apparently due to an
incompatibility in either the old MASM or LIB used to create
ASMWIZ.LIB. The current build of the library avoids this bug.

AsmWiz 1.6a, 07/05/93:

Fixed a bug in FI_COMPLETE which caused it to reject files
with extensions that began with capital "A".

AsmWiz 1.6, 05/24/93:

Registration can now be done online on CompuServe. See the
   ORDER.FRM file for details.

A DESC.SDI file has been added to provide a short description
of AsmWiz for BBSes. This complements the longer FILE_ID.DIZ
description. REGISTER.TXT has been renamed to ORDER.FRM,
since that appears more common. ADD4DOS.BAT has been renamed
   to ADDFILE.BAT. The CATALOG.TXT, ORDER.FRM, WHERE.BBS and
   other files have been updated.

Spruced up the example program (EXAMPLE.ASM, .COM, et al).

Fixed bugs in TD_GETDATE and TD_GETTIME routines. The logic
for 2-digit vs 4-digit years was reversed and there were some
formatting errors. Thanks to Dan Sandberg for bringing this
   to my attention.

   Added small U.S.-only uppercase/lowercase conversions:
      S0_LOCASES, S0_UPCASES

   Added keyboard support:
      BKO_GETCAPS, BKO_GETKEY, BKO_GETNUM, BK_GETCAPS,
      BK_GETKEY, BK_GETNUM, DK_GETKEY, MK_SETCAPS, MK_SETNUM

AsmWiz 1.5, 06/30/92:

The granularity of the AsmWiz library has been improved,
allowing for smaller programs in some cases.

The number of countdown timers available has been doubled,
giving a total of eight timers. Two of these timers may be
used by AsmWiz, leaving six with no strings attached.

New routines include graphics mode support for the mouse,
searching for a substring within a string, and machine-level
   VGA graphics.

Doc files have been converted to 64 col x 59 row pages to
allow printing on a greater variety of printers. The AsmWiz
documentation has been updated for current computers.

Registration can now be done through Public (software)
Library, which allows use of credit cards. See REGISTER.TXT
   for details.

AsmWiz 1.4, 09/09/91:

All source code has been converted from OPTASM to MASM 6.0.
While I've been a great fan of OPTASM in the past, SLR hasn't
updated it in ages, and it still doesn't support 80386 code.
As of v6.0, MASM has improved to the point that I'm willing
   to use it instead.

AsmWiz 1.3, 01/29/91:

The registration fee has been reduced.

A table of contents was added to the ASMWIZ.DOC manual.

The EXECOM utility is now included. This is an improved
replacement for EXE2BIN which converts .EXE files to .COM
   files.

The demo program has been modified to assemble directly under
A86, MASM, QuickASM, and TASM. OPTASM, of course, is also
   still supported.

A window frame maker has been added. A variety of frames is
provided and you may also create your own custom frames.
      MV_FRAME

AsmWiz 1.2, 03/10/90:

The S0_MID service has been fixed to work properly even if
you specify more characters than are available in the source
   string.

Filename manipulation services have been added. These allow
you to split a path into drive, directory, and filename
specs, make any path a complete and unambiguous
specification, translate a filename through a pattern, etc.
The MI_MATCHFILE service has been renamed to FI_MATCH.
      FI_COMPLETE, FI_PATTERN, FI_SPLIT
      FI_MATCH (formerly MI_MATCHFILE)

File handling services have been added. These provide
automatic network compatibility, optional input buffering,
   and other conveniences.
      DF_CLOSE, DF_DONE, DF_FLUSH, DF_GETTIME, DF_HANDLE, DF_INIT,
      DF_LOCATE, DF_OPEN, DF_READ, DF_TIME, DF_WHERE, DF_WRITE

The Exception Services were extended to include critical
   error handling.
      EH_CRITDONE, EH_CRITERR, EH_INITCRIT

Machine-level graphics services were added for Hercules, CGA
   and EGA.
      G4_BOX, G4_GETPEL, G4_LINE, G4_PLOT
      G6_BOX, G6_GETPEL, G6_LINE, G6_PLOT
      GD_BOX, GD_LINE, GD_PLOT
      GE_BOX, GE_LINE, GE_PLOT
      GH_BOX, GH_GETPEL, GH_LINE, GH_PLOT

The ability to get the current screen mode was added to the
   various text display services.
      BV_GETMODE, MV_GETMODE

The ability to handle files in the BSAVE format (used by
   BASIC) was added.
      ME_BINFO, ME_BLOAD, ME_BSAVE

AsmWiz 1.1, 02/11/90:

A bug was eliminated from the pop-up window services. It had
caused windows to be smaller than expected.

The example program has been prettied up, inside and out.
Since colors are now used, a "/B" option has been added for
folks using CGAs attached to monochrome monitors (the one
   non-color setup AsmWiz can't detect).

A bibliography of references used in creating AsmWiz has been
   added.

You can now find out what kind of display adapter and monitor
   are in use.
      MI_GETSCREEN

The ability to automatically convert colors to their
monochrome equivalent has been added to the various text
   display services.
      BV_FIXCOLOR, DV_FIXCOLOR, MV_FIXCOLOR

Exception Handling services have been added. These allow your
program to take control over ^C and ^Break.
      EH_ADDBREAK, EH_INITBREAK, EH_SETBREAK, EH_SUBBREAK

Machine-level Video services have been added to save or
restore any part of the screen.
      MV_SAVESIZE, MV_SCRREST, MV_SCRSAVE

Machine-level Video services have been added for Hercules
graphics mode. These provide 90x43 text support.
      HG_CHROUT, HG_CLEOLN, HG_CLS, HG_COLOR, HG_CRLF,
      HG_GETCOLOR, HG_LOCATE, HG_MODE, HG_STROUT, HG_WHERE
