If you have a previous copy of Adept installed and where not part of the
Adept Private Beta team please delete your previous copy. This version is
COMPLETELY incompatable with the version that got out. If you are on the
beta team you can get a update from me or move the changed files from this
versions on top of your beta. Please keep your registration key, it will
work with this version.

This BBS software requires HPFS! You must install and have unzipped this
archive into the \Adept sub-directory on a hpfs drive, and allowed the
archive utility to create all the needed sub-directories.

When the install program firs runs this is the first screen you will
get. There is no checking in this version of the install program.

This program currently assumes that you have created the directory
\Adept, and have unarchived it into that directory using unzip and
allowed it to create all the directories in the archive.

After you click on setup it will then let you click on node one and
node two. Click on each of these to setup the basics needed to get
    the nodes running.

Com Port - Can be any valid OS/2 port, including named pipes.
If you wish to have the BBS use the telnet port place
the word TELNET in as the port name for this node and
click on the use telnet settings. You can use the word
telnet on any node you want, and on as many nodes as you
                want.

User Null Modem settings turns off carrier detect for everything.

Use telnet settings should be used for the BBS's internal telnet
setup, and if you are using RAY GWINNS VMODEM. This configures the
BBS to use a completely different setup of timers.

Init Strings: The BBS can handle multi-ple init strings, for use
with fax modem setups and whatnot. Just put each
string on it's own line and you will be all set.

After you change all the settings on this menu, and for all the other
nodes you can click on the All Done button (formerly SETUP) and the
BBS software will write the needed config files, along with the
   needed changes to your config.sys.

Please remember to reboot before you try to run the BBS software.

The BBS software has two command line parameters, /N# - Number of nodes
to bring on-line, and /T - turns on the BBS softwares internet - telnet
capabilities. You will need a TCP/IP stack for telnet to work.

If you are having problems my voice number is (407-477-6455). Please
   use it sparingly.

The convert sub-direcotry contain a RA, and Maximus user conversion
program. With source. The source is horrible, and prone to stack
problems. I will take the time to write a real conversion program
using the BBS's User Server API's. After urnning one of the conversion
program, please be sure to run ReIndexUsers on the new user file.
