The MusicWriter Libraries

Write and play music on your HP-48

The MusicWriter Libraries include sophisticated programs for writing, editing,
and playing music on the HP-48.  To be able to write music, one must have basic
musical skills.  To simply hear the samples, however, all one has to do is
download the library and the samples, decompress them, and play them.  The 42
samples will provide a long time of listening enjoyment (as long as you have
lots of memory).

Two libraries are included.  One is smaller than the other.  The smaller one is
somewhat faster and takes up less memory, but has fewer features.

These programs were written for the HP-48SX.  I am not sure how compatible it
is with the "G" series.  Let me know if there's a problem.

You are more than welcome to upload sample music files created with MusicWriter
to share with others.  It is recommended that the sample file names begin with
a "MW" so that one can easily tell that it is a MusicWriter file.  A text file
describing the samples will also help.

If you are interested in using MusicWriter, please make sure you read all of 
the documentation (or at least most of it).  Go through the examples using your
calculator.  Of course, one can always learn how to use a program without
reading a manual, but chances are, you'll learn faster if you do read.

And yes, playing music does use more battery power (but I think that it is
worth it).
