     NAME: 

          VERSION - Displays the DOS and Free-DOS utilities version 
          numbers.  

     SYNOPSIS: 

          VERSION [/D] 

     DESCRIPTION: 

          VERSION displays the MS-DOS version number and the release 
          version for Free-DOS.  If you like, you can only display the 
          MS-DOS version.  VERSION also displays information about the 
          GNU General Public License, which is the license for all 
          Free-DOS products.  

     OPTIONS: 

          /D - Display only the MS-DOS version, not the Free-DOS 
          version.  

     BUGS: 

          VERSION must be updated per major release of Free-DOS. If 
          you continually add to Free-DOS without updating VER, the 
          release information will not  be correct.
