Automatic Installation of SLIP_IT! and YARN
-------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT: You can't install this programm or run yarn without
having a path set to pkzip/pkunzip!
Copy slip_it!.exe and yarn*.zip to the same directory
If YARN is already installed on your system, copy
slip_it.exe to the YARN-directory. Start the selfextracting
slip_it!.exe. This file expands to slip_it!.zip, setup.bat
and slip_it.bat. To begin the installation, start'setup-bat' now.
When the installation is complete, start 'slip_it.bat'
from the DOS commandline. It's important to start slip_it
from the installation directory, because all pathnames
used in the different config-files and in the environment
variables 'yarn' and 'home' (which are set within slip_it.bat)
are relativ to the current directory. Don't start slip_it
from Norton's commandline, unless you have 'yarn' and 'home'
already defined.
More information about slip_it may be found in the file install.txt
in the slip_it subdirectory. The file 'x_tcp.cfg' contains
all the information, the program needs for it's work.
You can edit this file with an editor, but you should not
rename the variables. The autoinstall program fails, if it's
missing a variable in x_tcp.cfg (or other) config files.
You may repeat the installation at any time, if you
change to the slip_it directory and type 'x_script.exe install'
on the commandline.
