FM -- the Four Musicians

Four Musicians is a new form of a get together on the computer music scene.
It's not a regular music group, but rather a band.  We intend to work solo
as normal, but also (to the point of a band) work together on releases.

So what really is FM?  As the name implies, it is four musicians getting
together for what they like doing best--music.  These four people are (in
no particular order) James Storer (Big Jim / Valhalla), Dan Grandpre
(Basehead / Kosmic Free Music Foundation, Legend Design), Andrew Sega
(Necros / Legend Design) and Jaakko Manninen (Mellow-D / Surprise!
Productions, Hardcode).

Our coming releases include (apart from "solo-appearances") several
co-op tunes, either in MOD, S3M, XM or CD format and, hopefully, several
music disks.

"But how did you get together?"

All members know mainly through IRC (except for Andrew (Necros) and Dan
(Basehead)), and have met there. We've exchanged a lot of songs in each
direction, when finally one day we came up with an idea of a "computer
music band".  After the debates over a name, (we were thinking of 'o'
for a name) we decided to use Big Jim's suggestion, FM.

"And how do I contact the members or the band?"

We're all on IRC, that's where you should start for normal chatter.  We
all use our handles as nicknames, except for Mellow-D (Jak on IRC, long
story).

"How about releases?  Where do I find them?"

All the new releases are first uploaded to ftp.mpoli.fi.  After the uploads
are reviewed and are moved to the correct places, you can find FM-stuff in
the directory /starport/music/fm.  There should always be an index file in
the directory, explaining the contents.  No files are available for the
moment though, as there are no releases.

"Oh, by the way, why did Necros and Mellow-D leave KFMF?"

We don't think we have enough time to fill two music group's/band's needs.
And a bit to clarify, we _left_ and were not kicked out as the rumour has it.
No hard feelings exist with anyone :)
