Tape-it Lite for Imation Uninstall Procedure for Windows 3.XX

Use this procedure to uninstall Tape-it Lite. If you installed Tape-it Lite somewhere other than in C:\PG, refer to that directory instead of C:\PG in the instructions below.

From Windows:

1.	In File Manager, close any open windows displaying tape directories.
2.	Delete the Tape-it icon from the Startup group.
3.	Delete the Tape-it Program Group.

From DOS:

4.	Remove the environment variable PG by typing "SET PG=" followed by return.

From Windows or DOS:

5.	Remove references to "PG" from the following files:

	AUTOEXEC.BAT
		Remove SET PG=C:\PG
Remove the MSCDEX line, and if there is an MSCDEX line before it beginning with 'REM' and the lines are bracketed by "Tape-it Setup Modification Begin/End" lines, delete the REM' from the MSCDEX line.
		Remove C:\PG\PGLOADIR -I

	CONFIG.SYS
		Remove DEVICE=C:\PG\DPMS.EXE (if present)
		Remove DEVICE=C:\PG\PGQFT.SYS ... (if present)
Remove DEVICE=C:\PG\PGCDEXIF.SYS ... (may be more than one)

	WINFILE.INI (usually in C:\WINDOWS)
		Remove PGTape Extension=C:\PG\PGTFMX.DLL

	WIN.INI (usually in C:\WINDOWS)
If present, remove C:\PG\PGTPHWIN.EXE from the "LOAD=" line

From Windows using the File Manager:

6.	Remove the directory buffer file. To find its location, look in the file C:\PG\PGTAPEDR.INI for the line 'DirectoryBuffer=C:\TAPE-x.DIR', where 'x' is the drive letter associated with your tape drive. The file will usually be located at the root of C:. Since it is a system/hidden file, to see it you will have to set the 'Show Hidden/System Files' option under View / By File Type.

7.	Remove the C:\PG directory, and all its subdirectories. Note: when File Manager indicates that some files are system/read-only, confirm that you want them deleted.

8.	Reboot. You have uninstalled Tape-it Lite.
