KEYBOARD README FILE . . . . . . . . . . . . . September 24, 1992

*NOTE:  THE KEYBOARD FILES INCLUDED IN THIS .ZIP FILE ARE FOR USE
 ONLY WITH WORDPERFECT 5.1 FOR DOS.

These keyboard files are available to WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS
users who do not need or who do not wish to have a complete
International Language Module (a separate WordPerfect product),
but who think an international keyboard layout would be helpful.

For information regarding Language Modules, please call Information
Services at 800-451-5151 or 801-225-5000.  International customers
can call the International Information Services Group at 801-222-4200.

To install and select the international keyboard file(s) included
within this .ZIP file, please do the following:

1.   Copy the .WPK file into the directory on your hard drive
     specified in Setup|Location of Files for keyboard files.  If
     you aren't sure which directory this is on your system, you
     may check this directory by doing the following:
     a.   Enter WordPerfect, press Setup (Shift-F1), Location of
          Files (6), Keyboard/Macro Files (2).  If this selection
          is blank, copy the .WPK file into your \WP51 directory.
2.   To select the keyboard that you just copied, enter
     WordPerfect and press Setup (Shift-F1), Keyboard Layout (5),
     highlight the keyboard you want and press Select (1), then
     Exit (F7).


Notes:

1.   To see the keyboard layout of the selected keyboard, press
     F3 from the WordPerfect document screen.
2.   You may not see the exact character on the screen that you
     typed because of display limitations.  The screen may
     display a similar character or a completely different
     character than what you wish; however, View Document (Shift-
     F7, V) and the printed page should display the proper
     character.
3.   The XX_USA.WPK keyboard file is designed to give users of
     the US keyboard layout access to extended characters that
     are important to the language through strategic dead keys.
4.   The XX_DOS.WPK keyboard file is designed to emulate the DOS
     keyboard layout of that language.
