Installation Guide for the Fujitsu DPL24C PLUS Series Printer
driver for Microsoft Word 5.0 and 5.5
1. Insert the the Driver Diskette, which contains the appropriate driver file,
into a floppy drive.
2. Make the floppy drive current by using the DOS command ( by inserting
the corresponding drive letter ).
e.g. a:
3. Now enter the command
INSTALL <Hard disk drive> <pathname>
where <Hard Disk drive> is the Hard Disk drive letter without ':', where
your Microsoft Word 5.0 or Microsoft Word 5.5 is located and
<pathname> is the full path of the Microsoft Word 5.0 or
Microsoft Word 5.5 directory on your Hard Disk.
For example, if the Word 5.0 or Word 5.5 Directory is called Word5_0 or
Word 5_5, and is on drive C: then the command to start installation would
be : INSTALL c c:\Word5_0 or INSTALL c c:\Word5_5
4. The Install program copies the appropriate files to the Hard Disk, and then
runs the Word5.0 or Word5.5 program. Inside Word you have to select the
driver as described in the User Manual.
Note : In order to follow english conventions the binary driver file has the
extension driver.PRD. Maybe your Word program expects another extension.
In that case please have a look into the Users Manual to clarify, which
extension you will need. Afterwards please rename the extensions.
